સૂરજ છાતી સરસો લઇને
ભાદરવાના દિવસો લઇને
કોણ ઘસીને ચળકાવે આ -
તડકાનું કાંસું.
તપ્ત નગર ને રસ્તા સૂના
ઘર-છત-ઉંબર-ફળિયું ઊનાં
આવ્યા પ્હેલાં સુકાઇ જતાં
આંખોનાં આંસુ.
